We all know that Balenciaga takes design inspiration from the most unlikely of places. Whether it is hot pink Crocs stilettos that an avant-garde Barbie would happily wear, or bags that look far too reminiscent to Asian market bags, we can always count on Balenciaga to push the fashion envelope.

That’s why, when Balenciaga released its new Track footwear series that looked like the chunkier sibling of the S sneakers, we knew we wanted it too. Created by artistic director Demna Gvasalia, its oversized silhouette draws inspiration from hiking and running shoes.

Available in five colourways for men and two for women, sturdy Gore-Tex is built into the shoe’s cage construction of overlapping panels while a complex interlacing system hikes up extra security and comfort. The goals of this shoe are simple - high-tech high-performance functionality meets luxury aesthetics.
Track first appeared in March this year as part of the brand’s fall/winter ‘18 runway, and it is finally hitting the Marina Bay Sands store today - 24th September 2018. We’ll race you there.
