Darlings, let’s talk about the most controversial film on screen and off screen, (don’t worry we’ll let you in on that later), to a Gen-Z divide on a television character’s outfit choices plus a handful of looks that left very little to the imagination - we’ve got a list of the most unforgettable looks of 2022, and, it’s a good one.

Rihanna’s shows off her baby bump

1/10

Literally and all the time. We’re not sure if you noticed but almost all of Riri’s pregnancy fits showed off her baby bump in full glory - from cropped tops to sheer dresses and unbuttoned jackets. While we aplaud the starlet's commitment to her maternity style, we didn’t vibe with every look tbh.

That Euphoria LBD

2/10

If you haven’t already got a look-a-like of Alexa Demie’s character Maddy’s black cut-out dress in Euphoria’s Season 2, where have you been?

Talk Timothée To Me

3/10

Timothee Chalamet can wear anything and look fab. At the 2022 Venice Film Festival Bones & All premiere, he wore a backless red Haider Ackermann halter-neck top and proved a point — that we are right.

Spray it on Bella

4/10

2022 is Bella Hadid’s year. The 26-year-old model was named model of the year at the British Fashion Awards 2022 and of course who could forget her getting spray painted with a dress at Coperni's Spring/Summer 2023 runway show.

Olivia vs Florence: Who Wore it Better?

The drama surrounding the film Don’t Worry Darling really revolved around Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh. We loved the subtle showdowns on the red carpets. Are you Team Olivia or Team Flo?

The Gen-Z Divide on the Portia's outfits on White Lotus

6/10

Hayley Lu Richardson’s character Portia has the internet on fire debating if her outfits - which are a haphazard mix of Y2k trends — is on point or unbearable to watch? It’s really quite bizarre how the internet seems to be so invested in Portia’s choice of outfits and it seems to have as much buzz as the actual show.

Beyonce Slays (as always)

7/10

As much as we’re excited about Beyonce’s seventh studio album Renaissance, her outfits in Renaissance were just as phenomenal. She really upped her game in Mugler, Paco Rabanne, Schiaparelli with a special mention to this custom “horned” bodysuit from Spanish designer Luis De Javier.

Julia, You’re a Fox!

8/10

Her 6-week relationship with Ye was just the beginning of the phenomenon of Julia Fox. While most of her looks are questionable, she’s still very much talked about, especially on TikTok where she does loads of DIY — the most impressive by far is the video of her repurposing a beach towel into a dress (it’s now a viral TikTok tutorial).

That Marilyn Monroe Dress

9/10

Ok so Kim Kardashian broke the internet when she wore Marilyn Monroe’s dress at the 2022 MET Gala. She also crash dieted in a really short time just so she could fit into it (we don't recommend this!) and spent 30 hours dyeing her hair blonde before she walked the red carpet. She’s a slave to fashion — we get it. What we really want to know in 2023 is if she is planning to continue her relationship with Balenciaga?

The Poster Child of Goth Girls

10/10

Jenna Ortega, the actress who plays Wednesday Addams in Tim Burton’s latest drama Wednesday, is hands down the breakout star of 2022. The 20-year-old actress gained more than 10 million new Instagram followers in just 10 days from 9.39 million to 24.3 million followers (last we checked it was 33.7 million) after the show aired on Netflix. Being weird is the new normal and goth is great again. Hell. Yeah.
