Dior Beauty rolls out limited edition packaging for its most artisanal perfumes

La Collection Privee is Dior’s top-end range of perfumes, and this summer, three stalwarts (Eden-Roc, Jasmin des Anges, and Dioriviera) from the collection have been re-outfitted in special editions of the maison’s signature Toile de Jouy print by creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Eden-Roc ($480 for 125, $705 for 250ml), a Mediterranean number laced with sea salt and white flowers, is dressed in a bright yellow Toile de Jouy, while Jasmin des Anges, a rich floral concoction with jasmine, apricot nectar and honey, is outfitted in a vibrant pink iteration (pictured).

Lastly, Dioriviera, the newest entrant to La Collection Privee, comes in soothing green, possibly in a nod to its hero ingredient of fig. The Dioriviera perfume has also now been expanded to include a Liquid Hand and Body Soap ($110 for 350ml) and a Hand and Body lotion ($155 for 350ml). There’s also a limited-edition travel spray ($265), decorated with the Toile de Jouy print, allowing you to take your favorite perfume with you wherever you go.

Chanel Beauty adds an eye serum to its most youthful range

The latest addition to Chanel’s popular Nº1 de Chanel beauty range is the Revitalising Eye Serum ($156 for 15ml, $132 for refills). For those not familiar with Nº1 de Chanel – it’s an entirely new line by Chanel Beauty that focuses on bolstering and renewing skin vitality (the idea is skincare and beauty products meant to preemptively work against the earliest signs of ageing).

The eye serum is infused with red camellia extract, which reportedly boosts skin vitality mechanisms by 63 per cent and protects skin from oxidative stress. The serum also includes camellia yeast, a signature Chanel ingredient, to hydrate and maintain the sensitive skin around the eyes, as well as red camellia oil to support the skin barrier.

Other key ingredients include red coffee berries and peptides to help restore the eyes’ expressive power. A unique feature that comes with this serum is its patented rotating applicator, which is shaped like a camellia bud. According to Chanel, this applicator helps to deliver the perfect amount of product, massages the skin, and provides an instant cooling effect.

Gucci Beauty launches its first ozonic perfume

Gucci unveils a new chapter in its Flora collection with the introduction of Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid Eau de Parfum ($270 for 100ml). Building on the legacy of Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia, this new addition is the first ozonic floral gourmand in the Flora range. Crafted by perfumer Marie Salamagne, the fragrance melds the sweetness of vanilla with marine notes from the ozonic accord (a note that’s described to be airy, aquatic, fresh, or metallic). The result is a creamy floral scent imbued with an airy brightness, offering a uniquely uplifting experience. Clad in radiant yellow, this Miley Cyrus-fronted fragrance is meant to represent the essence of dreams fulfilled and to celebrate women who trust their instincts and embrace their potential.

Makeup by Mario is finally in Singapore

Credit: Sephora

Makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic has been pretty much the quiet personality behind Western civilisation’s most influential beauty looks for most of the 2010s – he was Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist for 12 years. So when he launched his own label, Makeup by Mario, four years ago, it pretty much exploded right from the start and it’s since become known for being led by artistry and not so much on his celebrity clientele. P.S. it’s doing so well to the point where Dedivanovic is already exploring a sale of the brand.

Anyway, it’s finally available here in Singapore – yep, there are the bestsellers like the Soft Pop Plumping Blush Veil (Sabrina Carpenter helped make it viral – she wears Rose Crush), as well as Dedivanovic’s signature glowy SurrealSkin Foundation. Move fast – certain items are already out of stock.

Chanel drops a two-in-one purifying product

Fans of multitasking products, you’ll want to pay attention to Chanel’s new Le Masque ($105 f0r 150ml), which has been designed as both a purifying face mask and an exfoliating facial scrub. Made of 96 per cent naturally derived ingredients, it contains camellia ceramides for hydration and white clay for purifying. The exfoliating action comes from camellia husks and jojoba beads, which help refine skin texture. According to Chanel, you only need to leave Le Masque on your face for five minutes to purify the skin of impurities – and once you start to wash it off, make sure to massage using circular movements to activate the exfoliating action of the product.

Jo Malone London has announced a collaboration with Paddingto, the beloved British bear known for his kindness and generosity. Inspired by Paddington’s go-to snack – marmalade sandwiches – the collection features a new citrus gourmand cologne called Orange Marmalade ($135 for 30ml, $260 for 100ml), which blends notes of warm cashmere woods with orange peel. The collaboration also includes four limited-edition gift sets, one of which is presented in a trunk design inspired by Paddington’s suitcase. These sets feature Jo Malone London favorites across cologne, home, and bath & body categories.

Dior expands its Dior Forever range

Dior’s tentpole Dior Forever range is getting two new products: the collection’s first stick foundation, as well as a blush palette that features two types of finishes. The first is the Forever Skin Perfect Stick Foundation ($99), which is a lightweight, creamy powder texture that offers long-lasting, buildable coverage and a luminous matte finish. It’s said to provide intense hydration and a blurring effect that smooths imperfections and minimises pores for 24 hours. Available in 12 shades, it can be used alone or combined to suit every skin tone. Infused with iris extract, this foundation stick reportedly ensures comfort and flawless skin even in extreme conditions, maintaining true color and perfect wear from morning to night.

If you’re looking to add some colour, then you’ll want to check out the Rouge Blush Blush & Glow ($95 each) and Rouge Blush Contour & Glow ($95). Both products come housed in a sleek midnight blue case adorned with Dior’s signature cannage motif – inside, there are two contrasting matte and glow effects for a seamless blend and a radiant finish that lasts all day. The Rouge Blush Blush & Glow contains a blush and a highlighter, available in three shade duos, while the Rouge Blush Contour & Glow presents a contour and a highlighter.

Aesop rolls out a gentle exfoliant

For those who love to exfoliate but have sensitive skin, Aesop’s new Immaculate Facial Tonic ($70) might be a good option. The main exfoliating agent in this toner is not the usual BHAs like salicylic acid or AHAs (your glycolic, lactic, mandelic and so on) – instead, the brand is touting Mucor Miehei Extract as the key ingredient here. Mucor Miehei is a species of fungus and it reportedly provides gentle exfoliation through enzymatic action.

But the toner doesn’t just exfoliate – other key ingredients like panthenol, niacinamide, saccharide isomerate and galactoarabinan – all help to strength the skin barrier and soothe angry skin. The tonic is further enhanced with a hydrating blend of rose petal, sandalwood, and frankincense essential oils, which also give it a floral, woody, and resinous aroma.
