The Chic Code Wirda Elliesa on her beauty essentials, quick hacks and affordable skincare finds

Beauty creator and The Chic Code podcast host Wirda Elliesa (@wirdaelliesa) has earned a loyal following for proving that great beauty doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag. A self-proclaimed “Budget Barbie”, she’s built her platform around uncovering affordable beauty buys that deliver luxe-looking results.

“Makeup can enhance your features, but taking care of your skin is what gives you that natural confidence,” she says.

The 30-year-old says her love for beauty content came naturally.

“I’m a girly girl, so I naturally love sharing beauty-related content on my social media—and that’s how it all started.”

As this year’s Her World x Shopee Beauty Awards skincare category judge, Wirda evaluated products with one simple question in mind: do they genuinely work?

“For me, it’s about real results and not just hype. It’s also about quality, and whether a product earns a permanent place in people’s routine.”

Being part of the judging panel is also a personal milestone.

“I’m honoured to be part of the panel, and I’m sure my eight-year-old self would be so proud of me and think I’m the coolest.”

What’s your signature beauty look?

I love Thai-style glam makeup ! I think the style really suits and enhances Asian features.

What’s one thing you never compromise on when it comes to your beauty routine?

You will not catch me leaving the house without applying SPF50.

What’s your go-to beauty hack?

Now that I’m a mum, my beauty hack is cushion powder foundation. It helps me glam up really quickly while still looking put together.

What’s been your favourite beauty discovery from this year’s Her World x Shopee Beauty Awards?
