The rejuvenating powers of mineral-rich thermal waters have long been celebrated in skincare and form the very foundation of Hungarian luxury beauty brand Omorovicza.

The story begins in Hungary, where the Earth’s crust is thinner than in most parts of the world. As thermal waters rise to the surface, they absorb an exceptional concentration of minerals, creating waters renowned for their therapeutic properties and remarkable skin benefits.

Founded in 2006 by Stephen de Heinrich de Omorovicza and his wife Margaret, the brand marries centuries-old Hungarian healing traditions with cutting-edge skincare science. Free from parabens, glycols, mineral oils, silicones, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulphates, synthetic colours, synthetic fragrances and chemical sunscreens, Omorovicza is as much about purity as it is performance.

Its heritage runs deep. The Omorovicza family established Budapest’s historic Rácz Hotel and Thermal Spa in the 19th century, introducing generations of visitors to the restorative powers of Hungary’s thermal waters. Today, the brand’s collection of indulgent creams, serums and treatments has amassed a devoted global following. Even Blackpink’s Lisa is said to be a fan of the cult-favourite Reviving Eye Cream.

At the heart of every formula lies the brand’s patented Healing Concentrate™, developed to help soothe inflammation, strengthen the skin barrier and support overall skin vitality. To maximise its efficacy, the founders partnered with a Nobel Prize-winning laboratory to develop Hydro Mineral Transference™, an advanced delivery system designed to deliver the therapeutic minerals found in Hungary’s thermal waters deep into the skin.

Now, the Budapest-based brand is bringing its distinctly Hungarian approach to wellness to Singapore through its latest partnership with Raffles Hotel Singapore. The collaboration pairs Omorovicza’s luxurious products with hands-on facial and body therapies that place equal emphasis on touch, ritual and relaxation.

“The spa provides a beautifully considered environment for our mineral-rich treatments, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in relaxation and restoration. We share a belief that true luxury lies in thoughtful care and honouring traditions, and this partnership allows us to bring Omorovicza’s heritage to life in a way that feels intentional and meaningful,” said Stephen de Heinrich de Omorovicza in a press statement.

Guests can choose from a curated menu of facials, spa rituals and body treatments, with prices starting from $260. During our visit, we experienced the Elixir Power Facial, a radiance-boosting treatment designed to harness the restorative benefits of Healing Concentrate™ to enhance skin health and vitality.

The treatment begins with a thorough cleanse before moving into a series of deeply restorative steps, including a double-masking ritual designed to plump and lift, targeted décolleté fascia work, and a blissful scalp massage. It concludes with Omorovicza’s signature Hungarian Facial Massage, a sculpting technique that helps define facial contours while encouraging circulation and lymphatic drainage.

While the mineral-rich formulas and indulgent textures are impressive, the pièce de résistance is undoubtedly the massage. Unlike some sculpting facials that rely on aggressive techniques, Omorovicza’s approach feels thoughtful and intuitive. Firm yet gentle, the therapist employs rhythmic kneading and targeted movements to release tension, stimulate lymphatic drainage and encourage circulation without stressing the skin.

The results were immediately visible. My complexion looked brighter, fresher and noticeably more radiant—even after a particularly exhausting week. There was a subtle lift around the cheekbones, less puffiness around the jawline and an overall glow that extended well beyond the treatment room.

For those seeking dramatic aesthetic interventions, this isn’t that kind of facial. Instead, it offers something arguably more luxurious: an hour of complete restoration paired with visible results. Whether booked before a major event or simply as a much-needed reset, the Elixir Power Facial delivers exactly what modern skin often craves.
