When it comes to lifting treatments, there are many options available. However, one of the go-to procedures for many Koreans and K-celebs is Titanium Lifting. In Korea, it is often referred to as the ‘BTS laser’ due to its brightening, tightening, and sculpting effects.

What makes Titanium Lifting so popular is its immediate results, minimal discomfort, and lack of downtime. Although some people may experience temporary flushing or swelling, these effects typically subside within a few hours.

Additionally, each session is very quick—it takes only about 15 minutes for the entire face, as numbing cream is not required.

This is why many women book a Titanium Lifting session the day before an important occasion.

How Does Titanium Lifting Work?

The Titanium Lifting machine was originally developed for hair removal. However, aesthetic doctors in Korea adapted the machine’s laser hair removal technology to focus on skin tightening and rejuvenation.

The machine utilises laser technology, at three different wavelengths, to lift and tighten the skin:

755nm targets pigmentation

810nm refines rough skin texture

1,064nm helps lift and tighten sagging skin

This is paired with two treatment modes that work in tandem. The Stack mode contours and lifts areas such as the cheekbones, jowls, and double chin, while the SHR (Super Hair Removal) mode delivers overall tightening and brightening.

The theory behind hair removal and skin lifting/tightening is similar. The laser penetrates the skin and is absorbed by chromophores (molecules that absorb light at a specific wavelength). These chromophores then diffuse the heat into the surrounding skin tissue. For hair removal, the target is the hair shaft, while for skin lifting, the heat is used to warm the collagen fibers in the skin. This heat contracts the collagen fibers, tightening the skin.

The heat also triggers the skin’s natural wound healing process, which promotes collagen production. The result is a smoother, lifted, and more radiant complexion.

Moreover, Titanium Lifting stands out for its brightening effects, which are not commonly found in other non-invasive lifting treatments.

Because the laser energy is absorbed by melanin in the skin, it can help reduce pigmentation, resulting in a brighter complexion.

For optimal results, it is recommended to undergo three Titanium Lifting sessions, spaced one month apart. A maintenance session every six months is advised thereafter.

What Should You Complement Your Titanium Lifting With?

Pairing your Titanium Lifting session with a radiofrequency (RF) treatment, such as Opus Plasma-RF, can enhance the results.

This is because the heat from Titanium Lifting dilates the blood vessels, making them more receptive to RF energy. Together, these treatments target different layers of the skin, lifting and tightening from within.

Additionally, combining a skin booster, such as Rejuran or Vitaran (both types of polynucleotide-based skin boosters for skin rejuvenation), with lifting treatments can further enhance anti-ageing effects.

This is also an excellent combination for achieving the K-glass skin look.

When discussing glass skin, we must consider skin quality, including evenness and firmness.

Since polynucleotide skin boosters hydrate the skin and promote regeneration, combining them with energy-based treatments like Titanium Lifting and Opus Plasma-RF creates a synergistic effect, yielding better results.

When your skin texture is smooth, it reflects light more evenly, giving you that signature glass skin luminosity.
