And they're there for good reason. These brushes replace the ubiquitous but not-very-effective puff, to give your skin a more natural-looking and even finish

The unassuming culprit behind cakey, patchy, splotchy makeup is this: the flimsy, thin puff that comes together with compact powders. It applies product in a saturated and dense manner – way too much on the skin, and not useful when you’re looking for a light, even, all-over sweep.
To get an airbrushed, skin-like finish, swop the puffs out for brushes. Our favourites are the compact powders come with their own compact brushes, for they’ll help evenly distribute powder on the skin. Don’t look down on these brushes just because they’re petite – the bristles are soft and dense enough to veil the skin with a fine layer of powder.
