You don’t always have to cut your hair to create the look of more volume and texture. Try ombre highlights – they make your hair look like it’s lit in all the right places.

Unlike regular highlights that are of one colour tone, ombre highlights start with a deeper tone at the hair roots and become gradually lighter towards the ends. The best part? They’re very low-maintenance – you don’t have to keep touching up as any fading colours will seem like part of the look.

And if you plan to curl your hair, leave the ends – about an inch from the bottom – straight for a more modern look.
