How to conceal under-eye dark circles

Broken capillaries and poor microcirculation cause your dark circles to appear bluish-greenish-grey. What you need is a peach-toned concealer to neutralise the greyness.

Avoid using only yellow-toned concealers, which lighten the greyish tint but don’t conceal it.

How to conceal

Step 1 Dab peach-toned concealer under your eyes.

Step 2 Go over the same area with liquid foundation.

Step 3 Apply a yellow-toned concealer at the inner and outer eye corners.

Step 4 Blend the concealer.

When the area under your eyes appears red, your skin may look shadowed or patchy when you turn your head at certain angles.

The redness can be caused by allergies, inflammation or stress. To neutralise it, use a yellow-toned concealer.

Step 1 Apply concealer at the inner eye corners.

Step 2 Blend outwards to cover the entire under-eye area.

Likely to be caused by sun exposure, your under-eye area looks dark and dull. Depending on how severe the discoloration is, you could get away with hiding it with just foundation.

However, if the dark circles can still be seen, using a peach-toned concealer will help even out skin.

How to conceal

Step 1 Apply liquid foundation over the under-eye area.

Step 2 Blend in the foundation.

Step 3 Dab concealer under the inner eye corners and blend well.
