Long lasting lip tint

Barely have time to catch up on Whatsapp group chats let alone remember to reapply lipstick means that you’ll often find your lipstick disappearing through the day to leave an ugly ring of colour around the outside.

The new Clarins Water Lip Stain is your answer. The transfer-proof formula was clinically tested to last up to 300 kisses, and comes in four wearable shades: Violet Water, Red Water, Orange Water and Rose Water.

Rich in lip care ingredients like organic aloe vera extract and organic raspberry water to soften and hydrate. The Water Lip Stain also has the proprietary Clarins anti-pollution complex, for the first time in a lip products. The anti-pollution complex is usually found in their skincare products to protect skin against free radicals and similarly now works to stave off the signs of ageing (wrinkles, crepey skin, loss of elasticity) on your lips.

Brush on the watery lip stain using the brush applicator, then wait for the colour to dry. It feels lightweight and dries within seconds to leave lips tinted. Sort of like using a marker pen on lips.

Layer on the colour with multiple coats so you can go from a sheer healthy hint of rosiness to a deep stain.

For a K-beauty gradient lip, apply more coats on the inner lips. Remember to wait for each coat to dry before applying the next for a more even colour distribution.

Look, no transfer at all onto the white paper after the tint has dried.

I used the Violet Water shade (04) in the morning and it really lasted through breakfast, coffee, nasi padang lunch and stayed put through dinner and drinks as well. Only slight fading was noticed on the inner corners of lips at the very end of the day.

Perhaps, it will last through quite some many kisses on my date night too. Xx

Clarins Water Lip Stain, $36, is available at all authorised Clarins counters.
