best destressing oils - calming products singapore - This works stress check breathe in review

Most of us endure stress in our jobs, whether it’s from the workload, crunch time, horrible bosses, or even just colleagues causing you grief.

There are many ways you can go about relieving stress, but most of them aren’t quite feasible in an office environment (lighting a candle is probably a fire hazard!). Sure, you can go for a walk, take a break and hit the gym at lunch time, but if you’re strapped for time and more or less chained to your desk, then this little glass tube of aromatic goodness is going to save your sanity.

We’ve already raved about a certain pillow spray from this brand (which has done wonders for my sleep), and it continues to deliver with the introduction of this aroma-therapeutic roll-on oil.

This Works Stress Check Breathe In singapore review - best stress relieving products sephora

This Works Stress Check Breathe In ($25, launching in Sephora Singapore on February 16, 2017) is a super concentrated blend of pure essential oils that serves a variety of purposes: Eucalyptus oil to invigorate and beat the fatigue (both physically and mentally); relaxing frankincense which is also an antiseptic and has been thought to fight infections; and of course lavender oil which is the go-to oil for calming frazzled nerves. Taken as a whole, this scent is meant to relieve nervous tension, insomnia and even hypertension.

You can use it in the mornings at home to psyche yourself up into facing the day, but it’s also compact enough to carry with you (it fits in small bags easily) so you can reapply as needed throughout the day. What I like to do is to roll it across my wrists and rub them together, then massage a bit into the base of my neck if my headaches are particularly bad. The box tells you this is “super strength”, and they aren’t kidding around.

The smell travels well but isn’t overwhelming, so you won’t offend the sensibilities (or is that scent-sabilities) of the people around you. All you have to do next is to close your eyes and breathe it all in for a minute or so.

Bottomline: If you know anyone in your life who is in desperate need of a little relaxation, do them a favour and get them some aroma-therapeutic goodness.
