We love us some new lipsticks anytime, any day; but it’s so much the better if it’s affordable and helps us do good for society at the same time.

Has it been a decade already? Sephora Singapore celebrates its 10th anniversary this year
Sephora Singapore is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and is launching a pretty cool collaboration with local charity organisation, Daughters of Tomorrow. The local registered charity has been helping women from underprivileged families to upgrade their skills, find jobs, and be financially self-reliant, since it was founded in August 2014.

Sephora Collection Lipstories Lipstick in shade #22, $13
Want to do your part? From June 28, 2018, just buy this tube of Sephora Collection Lipstories Lipstick in shade #22 ($13) – an on-trend striking bright red in a comfortable matte finish – and Sephora will donate all the proceeds to the Daughters of Tomorrow charity to help keep their good work going. Available in Sephora stores islandwide and also on Sephora Online (here).
What’s more, the lipstick itself is an eco-friendly product. Its super lightweight packaging is mostly made up of cardboard and uses plant-derived inks, there’s also less plastic and glue and no metal used in its making. This lessens its carbon footprint by three times compared to a conventional lipstick. Greener, just as glamorous, and a way to give back to society, all in one little tube. Sign us up!

Review: 9 lipsticks that leave a pretty stain on your lips so they never look faded
When you want lip colour that lasts and lasts...

Who doesn’t want a lip colour that you can apply and not bother too much about for the rest of the day? Sign us up, pronto! But contrary to popular belief, it’s not the form or finish of lipstick you should pick – matte, velvety, creamy, liquid, swivel-up, etc – it’s really the lipstick’s staining power you should be looking at.
Only by trial and error would you really know if a lippie wears well without touch ups. It has to be highly pigmented of course, but also, the formula shouldn’t dry up and peel off your lips in flakes, which will end up just looking awfully patchy.
So, we’ve done the legwork for you and these are the 9 lippies that are guaranteed to wear well, even when you don’t have time for touchups. They’re great for daily wear as well as for the upcoming party season for sure. Fuss-free lippies are always a do.
Caveat: Now, we’re not saying that your lips will look perfectly painted all day long, as if you’ve freshly applied your lip colour meticulously. But these will definitely leave a lasting and pretty stain that won’t look uneven. Nor are they transfer proof formulas that won’t stain your coffee mug or leave a mark when you kiss someone.

A little goes a long way with this liquid lipstick. One dip of the applicator lets you paint your lips perfectly with the creamy formula.
It isn’t the most lightweight formula but isn’t drying and won’t flake off if you don’t apply multiple thick layers. Once the colour sets, it doesn’t budge easily but if you do eat a plate of greasy char kway teow, it does fade but leaves a nice even stain on your lips.

The perfect lippie if you’re so busy you don’t even bring along a lipstick in your bag for touchups.
Apply it at the start of the day and the creamy colour wears of gradually through drinking and eating but the base stain stays put, colouring lips a pretty shade so it doesn’t look undone or neglected.

A super shiny gloss that is highly pigmented. The lasting power of the shiny finish is impressive, even lasting through two entire cups of morning coffee.
After eating, the shine rubs off but the colour clings to lips. The staining power even makes lips look pretty freshly applied throughout the day.

From the first use you’ll notice that the staying power of this lipstick is pretty good and the best part, the colour fades evenly too.
I got through a full day without any touch ups and while I did eat and drink and also wiped my lips, when I got home I still had to use makeup remover to wipe off a considerable amount of the stain on my lips. Impressive.
