It is pretty safe to say that Korean beauty is synonymous to high tech formulations. One to note is this serum from beauty giant Hera. It not only treats visible signs of ageing such as lines and wrinkles, but also prevents it by repairing and rebooting damaged cells caused by environmental stressors.

Pyruvate, which occurs naturally in our skin and bodies, is used in the formula to boost bioenergy of skin cells to increase cell activation, slowing down skin ageing. It works with a patented Abcell and Cell-Bio Fluid Sync, which aids in maximising the effects of Pyruvate to recharge, rebuild and strengthen skin cells.

2. Dior Lip Glow Oil, $50

A non-sticky lip oil that hydrates, offers a luminous shine and provides a wash of colour to the puckers. This can be used on its own for a natural look or as a topper for a plump pout.

It also contains a Colour Reviver technology that reacts with your lips to give a colour which is unique only to you. Cherry oil then nourishes and protects lips from harsh environmental aggressors.

3. Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte's Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, $170

A serum that brightens, hydrates, strengthens skin’s resilience and even treats signs of ageing? Consider us sold. This is fortified with the brand’s Tilbury Magic 8 Complex, which works alongside a slew of ingredients such as a Holistic 5-Crystal Complex, peptides, vitamin C and polyglutamic acid, which is said to be four times more hydrating than hyaluronic acid.

The combination of such superior ingredients help to deliver constant moisture, plump up lines, firm up loose skin and boost luminosity for a healthier-looking complexion.

It also helps to smooth out hair fibres for frizz-free locks while imparting a glossy shine.
