You guessed it, she’s none other than Nicki Minaj. If you recall, she has collaborated with M.A.C since 2010, working on the limited edition lipstick, Pink 4 Friday, to celebrate the release of her debut album, Pink Friday. In 2012, she teamed up with Ricky Martin for the VIVA Glam collection and went on to launch her second VIVA Glam Niki 2 the next year, a lipstick and lipglass-oriented range.

This year, Nicki’s newest collaboration is unlike her previous bright pink and loud collections, it features 20 shades of nude lipsticks that allows you to nail the au naturel look. Ranging from Pretty Please (a pale pink pearl in lustre), The Right Note (warm, sandy nude in cremesheen) to Easy Babe (dirty latte brown in matte), you’ll definitely be able to find a mlbb (my lips but better) shade that complements your skintone that is to your liking.

Look out for the two shades created specially by Nicki Minaj herself, Nicki’s Nude (soft corally pink in amplified) and The Pinkprint (mid-tone creamy pink in amplified). Plus, these two lippies come in a special pearlescent nude casing that is marked with her signature. Expect six nude-coloured lipglasses and six lip pencils in various shades of nudes, duh.

We got our hands on the two exclusive Nicki Minaj shades mentioned above and slathered some on our lips. On the left, we applied Nick’s Nude. On the right, we tried on The Pink Print.

Overall, the colour payoff is great and the formula is really moisturising. The only downside is that it isn’t very long-lasting, so you may have to touch up quite often. With that said, we love how it glides across our lips smoothly, making the touch up process not that much of a chore.

This comes at a great timing - the internet is still crazy over the whole neutral and voluptuous lip-look, so we expect these shades to disappear as soon as it appears on the counters. If you want to get your lips on some, keep your eyes peeled for the launch in Singapore on Sept 7, 2017.
