Fact: Jay Park has a banging body. But the way he gets it looking like that, is not what you would expect.

When he appeared on popular Korean YouTube channel Psick Univ’s podcast last year, the Korean-American rapper and R&B artist who was recently in town for the inaugural Waterbomb music festival made a cheeky admission: he uses lip stains to keep his nipples looking tip-top (pun fully intended) when he goes on stage.

While the “McNasty” singer didn’t reveal the exact product he relies on to fake a rosy flush, he hinted that it was a lip tint from the K-beauty brand Peripera. One of the brand’s bestsellers is the Ink Velvet Lip Tint ($15.90), an intensely pigmented, long-lasting formula that perks up your lips, cheeks and nips (had to).

The 37-year-old is hardly the first person to utilise lip stains for this purpose. In fact, Benefit Cosmetics’ cult-favourite Benetint Lip & Cheek Stain was first created back in the 1970s as a nipple shade enhancer for exotic dancers in the Mission District. If you’re thinking of jazzing up your ta tas with lip tint, we recommend always doing a patch test beforehand.
