Bored of your boardroom makeup and itching to get creative with your cosmetics this Christmas (and beyond)? Boy, have we got a treat for you.

Skin

I won’t spoil the show for you, but we kick off with a clean canvas courtesy of the lovely Lightful C Quick Finish Cushion – glide your way to a gorgeous glow by starting from the centre of your face, sweeping upwards and outwards towards the jaw and hairline

Eyes

Next, perk up your peepers with a pretty purple-gray shadow, an unexpected but fantastically flattering shade across the entire Asian skin spectrum – a cool complexioned chick should be able to pull off a purplish brown just as well as a warm bronzed babe. What you do is to use a fluffy domed brush to sweep the hero hue onto your upper lids, starting from the inner lash line and buffing it outwards and upwards towards the crease.

Ready to get your glitter on? For a spectacular sparkle, make like Carol and swirl together a trio of Nutcracker Sweet Pigments in bronze, gold and ravishing rose gold, then press this custom shimmer right smack in the centre of your lids. As amply demonstrated by our model of the moment in the video above, the flirty flash of metallic when you lower your gaze is fabulously fetching!

Industry insider tip to guard against glitter fallout: Use a spoolie to snatch up the specks – they will lift straight off without messing up your makeup. Ingenious, right?

Finishing touches

We won’t spoil everything for you, but the final flourish is a delicious dusting of a highlighting powder along the top of the cheekbones and nose bridge for a subtly shimmery effect; sort of like an “abridged” Asian twist on the contoured cheeks favoured by the Kardashian Klan, if you will.
