On the hunt for a new foundation that promises a flawless, matte finish? Or looking for something unique and interesting to try, say a sake-inspired face mist? Ahead, we've listed out the best new beauty releases to bump up your beauty arsenal this January.
Formulated with fermented sake extract and kombucha – which are reportedly rich in amino and fatty acids, ceramides and electrolytes – this refreshing face mist is meant to strengthen the skin barrier while regulating a healthy microbiome. Coconut water and sodium PCA then work to provide potent antioxidant protection and hydration while natural minerals like zinc, copper, and calcium gluconate aid in reducing redness and promote healthy collagen production.

This combines soft-focus microsphere powders that blur imperfections with pigments that provide medium to full buildable coverage. The soft and silky texture blends easily onto the skin and defends against caking, poring and settling. Skin is even said to feel smoother over time, even after the foundation has been removed. The skincare-infused formula also contains hyaluronic acid to help support skin’s moisture barrier, as well as a host of antioxidants, vitamins C and E and caffeine.
The maison’s first lip balm comes in a sheer universal finish and contains red peony and pomegranate flower extracts that work together with shea butter to offer protection and supply intense hydration to the puckers for a reported 24 hours of comfortable wear.
Now in 12 different shades, this multi-use glow primer helps to prolong makeup wear, offers an illuminating sheen comparable to that of any highlighter and perfects complexions. It is also said to hydrate the skin for up to 24 hours while blurring out the look of enlarged pores and smoothing out rough skin texture for a soft-focus effect. Bonus: you can even use it on its own, under foundation or applied to high points of the face.
This two-step treatment starts off with a liquid peel that sloughs away dead skin cells and accelerates skin renewal thanks to a combination of the brand’s Alpha Beta Acids, antioxidants and bromelain. The second step is a corrective treatment that helps restore healthy-looking skin while neutralising peeling activity for a smoother, more radiant complexion.
The brand’s Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Foundation now comes in a weightless, buildable powder format in 50 different shades to give a poreless, soft-focus finish. The sweat, humidity and crease-resistant formula blends easily into the skin and is said to instantly even out complexions without clogging pores, settling into fine lines or caking up.

The homegrown brand has just relaunched its entire product lineup, with packaging inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi pottery. One product to note is its Natural Skin Refiner which is formulated with natural enzymes to soften dead skin cells, stimulate microcirculation, and deliver essential nutrients and vitamins to revitalise complexions. Plus, it can be even used as a wash-off mask on acne-prone skin to soothe and reduce inflammation.
Powered by the brand’s Reset Concentrate (an active ingredient extracted from black tea), this helps to treat fatigued complexions and provide antioxidant benefits while treating signs of ageing. The Concentrate is extracted through a proprietary method, allowing the black tea to be infused in mineral water for 12 hours to maintain the potency of the active ingredients.
