WHAT IT IS: Think of Urban Decay’s Naked line and you immediately picture rows of eyeshadows, each a beautiful neutral that has just enough pop factor without looking #OTT or too dull. We know, we’re big fans of no makeup-makeup, too.

This month though, you should really be thinking about the brand’s Naked skin line. If you haven’t already heard, the foundation has been met with rave reviews online, even a four star-rating on the usually critical Paula’s choice beautypedia (a star off for the price). Now that says something.

The latest addition to the line, the Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer works just as well, if not even better. It is said to boast a bunch of beautifying ingredients, too. Anti-wrinkle peptides and antioxidant green tea keeps your skin looking youthful and elastic while litchiderm (derived from lychee fruit) and sodium hyaluronate keeps the skin hydrated and radiant.

WHY I LOVE IT: Earlier in January, I got a preview of the brand’s new concealer from the same line and was immediately hooked from testing it at the back of my hand – it spreads easily and is incredibly smooth, but how does it really perform on the face?

I’m usually conservative with concealers – I never swipe it on like you see it in beauty tutorials, it usually turns too cakey. Just a little dab that’s enough to minimise the appearance of discolourations. On some days, I even go without.

This however, layers beautifully, and melds like second skin. A single application covers my fading acne scars. Just a dot on the spot, dab, and watch it dry to a full-coverage, demi-matte finish.

Under the eyes, my dark eye circles look a lot less severe for sure, but fine lines look just as they are – a concealer isn’t a wrinkle filler, after all. If I had to nitpick, it settles just a teeny wee bit into my fine lines at the end of the day, but it’s nothing that I’ll hunt down makeup remover for.

Oh, and K-Beauty lovers, this works so well for the gradient lip, too.

A few days of testing can’t possibly say much about the long-term skincare benefits of this concealer, but it’s cosmetic properties are enough to make me go out to buy it, on top of the makeup trove I already have.
