Anti-trend bags that are perennially chic all year round

Designers love an art and craft project, and this season, crafty fabrications like woven leather, raffia and crochet got a much- needed update. Fendi added leather fringing to its iconic Peekaboo, marking the first time the bag has been designed this way since its launch in 2009. Parisian brand Longchamp collaborated with non-governmental organisation Anaka (founded in 2018 to improve the living standards of women in Madagascar) to design a one-of-a-kind raffia-textured Pliage for its Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Its collaborative work with the maison has also enabled 40 women to work in the Anaka workshop and 66 children to attend school.
