Veteran actress Huang Biren celebrated her 52nd birthday last Friday, March 7. Ahead of her big day, the Recipe of Life star shared a series of Instagram carousel posts featuring her birthday festivities with industry friends, along with heartfelt messages thanking them for taking the time to celebrate the special occasion.
Biren, a mother of three—Justin, Janessa, and Janelle—has maintained her svelte physique and radiant complexion over the decades, all while wearing multiple hats. Her secret? A steadfast commitment to a healthy lifestyle and dedicated beauty routine.
In honor of Biren turning 52, here’s a closer look at the wellness and beauty habits that keep her glowing.
The actress revealed that she has seen results with titanium lifting, a non-invasive laser treatment that utilises three different wavelengths to boost collagen production and improve skin elasticity. The result? A brighter, more lifted appearance.
As both a mother and an actress, Biren doesn’t have much time on her hands—but that doesn’t stop her from prioritising fitness. An avid lover of water sports, she shared on social media that she does stretches every morning before breakfast and simple workouts every other day.
She added, ‘We need to exercise regularly to stay fit and agile, but it doesn’t have to be strenuous or vigorous. Simple exercises are enough to strengthen our limbs, muscles, and core.
Biren, who plays a straight-laced matriarch in the long-form drama Recipe of Life, is known for her naturally voluminous hair. Luckily for us, she has shared her hair care routine. On Instagram, she posted a photo of herself pampering her scalp and strands at PHS Hairscience.
The actress, who made her acting debut in 1989, revealed her top tip for keeping her skin ‘supple and adequately hydrated.’ A firm believer that ‘good skin begins with preparation the night before,’ Biren maintains her complexion in top shape with sleeping masks—specifically, Laneige’s Water Sleeping Mask. This cult-favorite K-beauty product hydrates the skin for up to eight hours with active ingredients like hydro ion mineral water, evening primrose root, and apricot extracts.
Another step Biren incorporates into her beauty routine is sculpting her visage with at-home skincare devices, such as a facial roller. This tool gently massages the face and encourages lymphatic drainage, helping to reduce puffiness, relieve tension, and promote blood flow for a radiant glow. It’s no wonder Biren’s skin looks so luminous.
