Easy hairstyles that will have you looking like IU and Song Hye Kyo

Who says fabulous hair needs multiple visits to the salon and meticulous upkeep? For ladies who are always on the go, quick yet stylish hairstyles are a priceless asset. Take your inspiration from K-drama actresses, the likes of IU and Song Hye Kyo, who are sporting the most trendy hairstyles that are pretty much fuss-free.
Stylish Half-up Half-down
Thick, voluminous hair comes as an advantage for this particular hairstyle donned by Lee Hye Ri, since you’ll have to section your hair into two parts. All you have to do is to take the top section and twist it into a bun or clip it up, and leave the bottom part as it is. Just make sure the top bun is visible from the front by pulling out a few strands, and remember to style your fringe to pull the look together.
Clipped on the Side
Trendy, girly, and youthful, Yoona’s hairstyle hinges only on one very important item: a clip. Make sure your hair is sectioned into a side part, and then add the clip to your preferred side. Besides a flat clip, you can consider different designs, including ones with bows on them so you can keep coquette-core alive.
Neat Bun
Go for a sleek hairdo with this chic sophisticated bun inspired by Ahn Eun Jin. First, comb your hair to a middle part and tie it up into a ponytail. Twist the ponytail into your desired look (make sure to leave some ends sticking out), secure the bun with another elastic, and spray hair into place for a clean finish.
Braided with Front Pieces
Song Hye Kyo’s 2023 Met Gala hairstyle may just be the most complicated look in the list. Even so, it’s only time-consuming because of the braids, but it’s not necessarily a difficult hairstyle to put together if you know how to braid your hair. As for the front pieces, get a “hime” cut, which is essentially a straight cut from the side of the bangs to the front of the ears.
Messy Ponytail
This hairstyle comes in especially handy when you can’t be bothered to style your hair. All you have to do to look like Han So Hee is to throw it all into a high ponytail, and here’s the best part—make sure it’s messy by pulling out a couple of stands and making it uneven. It may look slightly tousled, but you bet it’s irresistibly alluring when paired with the right makeup and jewellery combination.
Layered Cut
A layered haircut is a great way to style mid-length hair and have it look stylish without a daily hair prep routine. Ask for a wolf cut or short layers in the front and longer layers at the back, and tell your stylist if you want some bangs like IU’s to go with it as well.
Go Short
Way to turn things up and make a statement. Kim Go Eun’s buzz-worthy haircut at the Toronto International Film Festival in September of 2024 was a refreshing switch-up from her regular girl-next-door look. It’s both mature and modern, and you have to admit—the short hair makes more room for the jewellery to stand out.
