You no longer have to travel all the way to Kranji for some go karting fun. Singapore’s first-ever permanent electric karting track, The Karting Arena @ Bukit Timah, is set to open at Turf City in the third week of April, making it the most centrally-located circuit in Singapore.

The circuit will run only electric karts (read: no more noise and fumes), and it’ll feature a 545-metre long, 8-metre wide track with 11 exciting turns – expect sweeping corners, a hairpin turn and a chicane at the end of the lap! It’s also aimed at leisure karters, with multiple overtaking points that make for a safe, yet fun circuit. Children are entirely welcome to join in the fun; do note, though, that they will have to stand at 1.35m and above in order to have a go at the karts.

Rates start from $25/session, which gives you 10 minutes of karting time, or approximately 20 laps around the circuit. Corporate and customised events are available as well, with rates starting from $1400/hour. Visit www.thekartingarena.com for more info.
