Swiss recipe: Rosti with sausages, SingaporeGive humble hash browns a makeover by transforming them into this crispy potato dish. With this classic Swiss recipe, you’ll get your craving for carbs fulfilled and it’s easy to make too. This recipe serves two.

INGRIDIENTS
8 chicken sausages
4 frozen hash browns, thawed
2 tbsp olive oil
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
50ml water
4 tbsp sour cream
Salt and pepper, to taste

DIRECTIONS

  1. Fry the sausages in a pan for about 5min till they are evenly browned. Set aside.
  2. Squeeze excess water from the thawed hash browns and break them into small pieces. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a pan, and cook the hash browns for 2min over low heat.
  3. Beat the eggs, water, sour cream, salt and pepper in a bowl. Pour the mixture over the hash browns.
  4. Shake the pan lightly to spread out the egg mixture.
  5. Cover and cook for 5min. Press down lightly on the rosti with a frying slice to cook it evenly.
  6. When the edges are golden brown, flip the rosti onto a plate.
  7. Add the remaining olive oil to the pan. Return the rosti to the pan and cook the other side until crispy. Serve with the sausages on the side.
