To thicken: Marc Antony Volumizing Collagen Bamboo Sulfate Free Shampoo, $17.90 (250ml)
Much ink has been spilt about the goodness of collagen for your complexion. Did you know that your tresses can enjoy these benefits too? The collagen in the shampoo thickens every strand for a fuller-looking coif. The product also improves hair moisture levels, helping to repair split ends so your hair looks healthier.
Available exclusively at Watsons stores.
To soften: L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Oil Shampoo, $16.90 (440ml)
Before you recoil at the mention of oil, know that this gentle blend of lotus, tiare, rose, flax, chamomile and sunflower oils nourishes on two fronts. Besides deeply cleansing the scalp to carry away sebum and grime, it also gets into each strand to nourish from within. We love that it gives locks that lustrous shine too.
Available exclusively at Watsons stores.
To prolong colour: Rich Pure Luxury Argan Colour Protect Shampoo, $16.90 (250ml)
Argan oil is paired with hydrolysed wheat, corn and soya proteins to smooth and soothe for super-shiny locks, and defend against damage from heat and UV exposure. Did we mention it’s free of sulfates, parabens and mineral oils as well?
Available at ALT@BHG, John Little, Metro, Robinsons, and selected Guardian, Sasa and Unity stores.
To prevent breakage: L’Occitane Aromachologie Body & Strength Shampoo, $38 (300ml)
Their exclusive complex of five essential oils (juniper, rosemary, ylang-ylang, cedar and cypress) aside, the shampoo also comes with a plant protein to protect and amino acids to strengthen hair fibres. It supposedly reduces breakage and subsequent hair fall by up to four times.
Available from July at L’Occitane stores.
