Serves 6

INGREDIENTS
200g split green beans, rinsed
200g sugar
8 pandan leaves, tied into a knot
2l water
200ml hot water (optional)
80g sweet potato flour or tapioca flour (optional)
1 stick dough fritter (you tiao), cut into 0.5cm pieces

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place the split green beans, sugar, pandan leaves and 2 litres of water into the rice cooker. Cook for 30min. (If using a multi-function rice cooker, use the Porridge function.)
  2. If you like the dessert thicker, combine 200ml hot water and the sweet potato flour in a bowl and stir until evenly mixed. Stir the mixture into the dessert until incorporated.
  3. Ladle into bowls, top with dough fritters and serve.
