Planning a trip to Australia? Ditch the usual travel agents and customise your own itinerary instead with Australia Travel Centre (ATC), a one-stop online portal that enables travellers to book tours, accommodation, as well as transfers Down Under.

The website’s clean interface makes it a breeze to use. Choices are clearly segmented into four categories, namely “Stay and Play”, “Stay”, “Play” and “Go”. The offerings under these categories are modular in nature, so you can, for instance, combine an accommodation package from “Stay” with a sightseeing package from “Play” for an itinerary that best suits your needs.

As its name suggests, the “Stay and Play” category enables you to purchase packages that include both accommodation and sightseeing – for instance, a five-day package tour of the Great Barrier Reef and the Tropical Rainforest in Cairns (from $988) also includes accommodation options at the Bay Village Tropical Retreat & Apartments, or the Pacific Hotel Cairns.

The “Stay” platform offers various accommodation choices, ranging mostly from three- to four-star hotels. We like how check-in timings and hotel features are stated clearly, alongside plenty of photos. However, details such as room size are sometimes lacking, so double-check with the hotel’s official website before booking.

Under “Play”, you’ll find an array of sightseeing packages, such as a glow worm tour (from $98) conducted by a local tour group. If you’re interested in exploring as many places as possible, an unlimited attraction pass is available, ranging from 1, 2, 3 or 5 consecutive days.

Lastly, the “Go” category enables you to book transfers to and from various locations, with accompanying route maps – especially useful if your hotel doesn’t offer transfer options!

Payment for ATC’s packages can be made via credit cards (Visa and MasterCard) and eNets. Visit to book.
