Did you know that every word you say (so no swear words, please!) to your baby goes towards developing his brain? You can learn fun facts like this and more at The Straits Times Education Forum, where experts will share their views on early childhood development.

Get useful tips from speakers such as University of Chicago paediatric surgeon Dana Suskind, who has started a programme in Chicago that encourages families to provide a healthy language environment for their children.

Dr Stuart Brown, who heads the National Institute for Play in California, will also be present to share why it’s so important for children to play.

Joining them is Carmee Lee, mentor principal at MindChamps Holdings (the parent company of MindChamps Preschool), who will discuss how music and movement can help boost brain growth.

The forum will be held on June 27, from 9am to 2pm, at Raffles City Convention Centre. Don’t miss the ongoing early bird promotion (through June 14), where you’ll pay just $38, instead of the usual $50, for registration. Sign up by June 22 at www.straitstimes.com/st-education-forum-2015.
