• How it works: An epilator is an electrical device that works like a tweezer – except it plucks out multiple strands at one go.

• Pros: It removes hair from the root so it takes longer to see regrowth, compared to shaving, which simply cuts off hair.

An epilator is ideal if you have sensitive skin as it doesn’t pull at your skin, unlike waxing.

• Cons: You will feel some pain as several hair strands are pulled out at once.
