Feeling tired and looking worse for wear when you’re fighting a cold is bad enough. But with the constant blowing and tugging, your nose is red and sore, and is starting to peel.
• Moisturise
To soothe the tenderness, especially if the skin is dry and peeling, dab a comforting balm around the sides of the nose before bedtime. This helps hydrate and heal the skin as you sleep.

• Conceal Redness
Makeu p artist Emma Haddock advises using a yellow-based concealer. Just apply a small amount to hide the redness, and then go over with foundation.
Alternatively, makeup artist Peter Khor recommends evening out the skin tone with a colour-correcting primer that gives a natural finish. It warms the complexion and adds a subtle glow to make you look better than you might actually feel.
Still a little red? Makeup artist Larry Yeo says to use a high coverage liquid foundation to conceal every trace of it.
