Aqua Spiral Therapy

WHAT Non-invasive and non-irritating, this treatment combines exfoliation and topical solutions to help achieve radiance. The machine uses micro electric pulses to create punctures in the cell membrane, and delivers nutrients through these punctures into the deepest layers of the skin. The nutrients are contained in three different serums – All Skin Types (AS) hastens skin renewal and smoothens fine lines; Salicylic Acid (SA) ups moisture levels and supposedly lightens hyperpigmentation, while Antioxidant (AO) combats free radicals and promotes healing. The use of a spiral tip not only ensures that every drop of the serum is fully absorbed, but its sucking motions also aid extraction of clogged pores and boost circulation. This suits sensitive skin as no abrasive particles are used.

Juverderm Voluma XC

WHAT This injection contains hyaluronic acid to help restore volume to areas that have hollowed out over time or as a result of loss of facial fat, such as the chin, cheeks and cheekbones. It supposedly creates the appearance of fuller and firmer facial contours, giving you a more youthful look. A small amount of the local anaesthetic lidocaine helps minimise pain and makes the procedure more comfortable. While there may be slight swelling, redness or bruising at the injected areas, these typically subside after one week. Results last up to 18 months.

COST $1,284 per syringe (up to three syringes may be recommended)

Thermage CPT

WHAT Using radio-frequency energy to heat up the deeper skin layers, which supposedly strengthens and boosts production of collagen fibres, this device aims to achieve more defined facial contours. A topical numbing cream is applied prior to the treatment and a cooling spray is used during, but you may still experience brief, hot sensations as the application tip heats up various areas. As downtime is minimal, you can resume daily activities right after. Results can last up to a year.

Gold Threadlift

WHAT Very fine surgical 24K gold threads are inserted with a needle into the dermis, and woven around the facial tissues for a lifting effect. This is said to improve blood circulation in and around the skin tissue, boosting the supply of oxygen and delivery of nutrients to targeted areas such as the cheeks, forehead and eyes. As skin tightens, signs of ageing like expression lines, wrinkles and mild nasolabial folds are softened, leaving you with a more defined and youthful appearance. While side effects are uncommon, some bruising may occur. It takes six to 18 months for full results to show.
