To be honest, I’ve never liked macarons and pretty much avoid them like the plague because, 1. I find them too cloyingly sweet and 2. they are little calorie bombs which are terrible for my waistline.

But that doesn’t stop me from walking into the mint coloured shop every time I pass by Ladurée because the shop just looks so whimsical.

For the ladies who love these precious little morsels, you now have even more reasons to buy them because Ladurée is bringing you not two, but three, new box designs to store these spoils!

The highlight of these boxes is a collaboration with famous jeweller Mikimoto. As a tribute to his speciality in pearl jewellery, this stunning pastel pink box is adorned with iridescent pearls. *melts*

This box also comes with a specially created macaron, called the Mikimoto Pearly – a rose lychee flavoured macaron.

The other two designs features elegant floral motifs and cute kitties respectively.
