Local jazz singer Joanna Dong, 35, has been making waves in the Mandopop scene with her stellar performances at the hit singing reality TV show, Sing! China. Joanna was handpicked by her mentor and Mandopop sensation, Jay Chou, to represent his team in the finals held on the Oct 8, 2017. Joanna won audiences over with her soulful rendition of the Chinese classic, “Love Song 1990, during the blind audition of the high profile singing competition.

Her audition clip has garnered over 800,000 views on YouTube thus far. The singer also displayed her versatility, performing in theatre productions and taking on hosting gigs on Mediacorp’s Channel U in 2015.
