Best fashion mall (west): Jem
With more than 50 fashion and beauty brands and at least 30 casual-dining restaurants, it’s no wonder this place is a hot hangout in the west.
Spanning seven floors and a whopping 818,000 sq ft, Jem houses Marks & Spencer and Uniqlo in duplex units. It is also the first suburban mall to score big-name retailers like department store Robinsons and high-street fave H&M.
When it comes to food, Jem is also where Swiss dining concept Marche opened its (yup, you guessed it) first outlet in the heartlands. The mall has other affordable restaurants too, like Din Tai Fung, Soup Spoon and Jack’s Place.
Besides shopping and dining, West-siders love this mega-mall for being a true lifestyle hub, with gardens across levels five to seven, a playground with water features on the fifth floor, and the largest cinema in the west – Cathay Cineplex, with 10 screening halls and platinum movie suites to boot.
