No pun intended, but the appearance of designer briefs are revealing of the times we are living in. With the focus on body neutrality and unabashed sexiness comes the not-so-subtle move of flaunting your favourite designer logos.

And the branded briefs are in a prime spot for this purpose. Miu Miu started a look by teaming up its low-slung bottoms and skirts for Spring/Summer 2022 with cotton jersey briefs imprinted with a Miu Miu-imprinted black tab on the waistband.

The Italian label is not alone in brandishing its logo on underwear though. Brands such as Balenciaga, Chanel, Dior, Marine Serre and Givenchy all offer similar styles featuring their brand names on the waistband this season.

The O.G. of the look, Calvin Klein, perhaps did it best. For its new All Together campaign, musicians and artists like Jennie Kim, Solange and Dominic Fike each flaunt a variation of their Calvin Klein briefs peeking out of their jeans like a badge of honour.
