Fendi’s Spring/Summer 2023: The must-have items of the season
A celebration of the past, present and future

The Italian luxury fashion house held its Spring/Summer 2023 show on Sep 21 last year and it was an explosion of colours and fun femininity. Designed by Kim Jones, artistic director of Fendi’s womenswear (a position previously held by the late Karl Lagerfeld), he delved deep into Fendi’s archives and collections of his predecessor.

The most notable element of the show? A youthful colour palette of an invigorating lime green, sprightly pink and cornflower blue alongside neutral, muted tones.
Though inspired by Fendi’s past creations, the collection was just as contemporary with models appearing in large shearling coats atop sheer dresses and chunky platform boots and sneakers. Scroll on for the best buys to get from the collection which is available online and in stores.
Made to be carried either as a clutch or a shoulder bag, the Fendi Peekaboo Cut is a play on the original Peekaboo top handle bags and comes with metal hardware, a twist lock and an O’Lock chain strap.
Of course we had to include the famed Baguette bag which was first introduced in the brand’s 1997 Autumn/Winter collection. This cotton candy pink version sports an embossed FF motif texture all over the body.
The Mon Tresor – which means “my treasure” in French – was launched six years ago and sent hearts aflutter with its bucket-shape, gold hardware and different colour and material permutations. This version comes in a canvas material and colourful FF motif embroidery.
Covered by hand with blue mink fur that has a 3D effect Fendi Roma Ribbon motif, this spacious tote is set to become our next it-bag.
A shopping day calls for an easy to carry but sizeable bag. This handy Fendi Pack shopper (which stands at a height of 25.5 cm, depth of 8cm and width of 19cm) comes with both a leather strap for when you want to keep both hands free, and the Fendi O’Lock chain handles to carry as a shoulder bag.
We anticipate many nights out with these knee-high platform boots that sport an oversized FF pattern on the heel of the boots. And don’t worry, there’s a zip for you to easily slip into and out of the shoes.
The Fendi First was born from artistic director Kim Jones’ debut collection in early 2021 where he paid homage to the Fendi family and sought to reinvent the use of the letter ‘F’ in the brand’s creations. What came through was the Fendi First clutch (which can also double up as a shoulder bag or crossbody), after which came the shoe interpretations like this laminated blue leather sandals with the ‘F’ frame heel.
For the sunny days ahead, this bucket hat is adorned with the Fendi Roses motif and has a small concealed compartment at the back for you to store your pocket-sized essentials.
Peep the ‘F’ motif border along the perimeters of the pink lens.
If you’re looking to be iced out in head-to-toe Fendi, consider this bar earring with crystals and green enamel detailing.
We’re obsessed with these pink slingbacks that are embroidered with a furry ‘FF’ pattern. Note the padded cushion and shoe tab at the back for added comfort and a sporty touch.
Fendi have certainly taken notice of the cut-out silhouette trend with this ribbed cardigan that comes with cut-out shoulders, elbows and stud buttons to create the effect.
This midnight blue dress is characterized by the floral Obi belt (snatched waist, here we come) and the open slits along the sleeves.
This pencil skirt has two zip openings along the sides and a central slit along the back of the skirt. Perfect for both the office and date night.
