Between just “hot” and “rainy”, the seasons don’t really matter to us Singaporeans (unless we’re planning a winter vacation to Europe or Korea). This year however, Spring has our full attention because come March, Takashimaya kicks off a 10-month long celebration in honor of its 25th anniversary. Talk about a great way to mark the arrival of Spring and new beginnings!

With a different theme to mark the celebrations each month, March’s theme, Spring in Full Bloom embraces the ideas of rejuvenation and renewal – specifically, of our vanity counters and wardrobes. The ladies’ department, which you already know and love, gives a nod to the first season of the year with the release of a whole bunch of new, exclusive products across all its departments. From Accessories to Cosmetic and Fragrances, and Shoes and Handbags, think floral motifs, the latest Spring drops and more.

Put your best face forward this year and achieve skin that’s as petal-soft as the first blooms of Spring with the newest releases from some of our favourite brands. Lancôme’s UV Expert Youth Shield Tone Up Milk, fortified with SPF50, is their latest product innovation, protecting skin from environmental aggressors like urban pollution and UV rays while instantly brightening up skin tone thanks to a special blend of light refracting pearls.

Make up lovers will fall head over heels for Bobbi Brown’s newest collection, Capri Spring. The limited edition makeup line is inspired by the Italian Capri island and features a new eyeshadow palette, dual end long-wear liquid eyeliner (available in 2 sets of colour combinations), nail polish and the All Over Glow, a liquid highlighter that gives you a fresh, rosy glow.

Last but not least, Shu Uemura’s aptly named Petal Skin Fluid Foundation is the everyday, lightweight solution we’ve been waiting for. Inspired by the beauty of flower petals, it is infused with white jasmine and lily extracts that boosts skin’s radiance and hydration while helping to achieve a natural, poreless coverage. The formula will be available in both liquid and cushion options, along with the unique petal 55 foundation brush that allows for seamless application. PS: each brush has been handcrafted by skilled Japanese artisans.

It’s not spring without flowers, which was the clear inspiration for many designers this season; think playful flower motifs that are perfectly on-point with SS18 fashion trends. The ECCO Soft 7 plimsolls feature an almost tropical floral print reminiscent of beach vacations, while Swatch’s Tropical Garden design is a funky, almost-abstract floral pattern that is perfect for pairing with monochromatic outfits.

Bonia goes quirky with a leather shoulder bag featuring minimalist blooms that’s perfect for both the workweek and weekend brunches, and Wacoal takes an alluring, darker spin on florals with its gorgeous, midnight blue Trefle Spring Collection that is exclusive to Takashimaya.

Desigual’s pretty, sleeveless straight cut dress in a lace fabric features contrasting floral prints and lining that is reminiscent of a fresh blooming garden, and Oasis shows that they truly live and breathe prints with their fun, confident and feminine Spring collection.

The month of March also hosts International Women’s Day, giving us even more reason to celebrate all things female!
