Here's how Singapore brands are supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month
The Estee Lauder Companies gets the help of Singapore retailers and brands for its efforts to raise funds for breast cancer research
By Margaux Levy -
Every October, the Estee Lauder Companies runs a breast cancer awareness campaign in the hope of “uniting and inspiring people globally in [its] mission to create a breast cancer-free world”.
As the beauty giant continues to run its annual breast cancer campaign worldwide and in Singapore support long-term beneficiaries like the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) and Singapore General Hospital, it is also taking extra initiatives to make an impact closer home.
This year, it has partnered with retailers, brands and hotels here to amplify the message and fulfill the goal to raise $20,000 through social and internal fund-raising activations.
“Our efforts will be amplified by the government’s dollar-for-dollar match. In addition, proceeds from our participating brands’ annual pink ribbon product sales will go towards supporting The Breast Cancer Research Foundation,” says Margaret Chooi, managing director of Estee Lauder Cosmetics.
Below, we share some of the ways in which Estee Lauder Companies and its Pink Partners are doing their part to support the cause. For more information visit the Estee Lauder Companies Breast Cancer Campaign microsite here.
In collaboration with local print and textile studio Minor Miracles, the duo have launched a special Breast Cancer Awareness Collection entitled ‘The Garden’ that is inspired by “the notion of how women are like plants that exist in a garden, where diversity co-exists and each woman being able to weather adversity and bring colour to the world”.
For every sale from the collection, 20 per cent of the profits will go towards Singapore General Hospital’s breast disease research. On top of this, the first 100 customers who purchase the complete collection will receive a complimentary beauty kit from The Estee Lauder Companies worth $98.
Together with homegrown lingerie label, Perk By Kate, the brands have launched an exclusive collection for Breast Cancer Awareness month with the hopes of empowering women to feel beautiful on the inside and outside. Included in the collection is the Harper Full Cup Padded Bralette (pictured) set in blush which is designed to be suitable in providing coverage for patients who’ve recently undergone a mastectomy.
Part of the proceeds will be donated to Singapore General Hospital, and every purchase made from the Perk by Kate x The Estee Lauder Companies Breast Cancer Awareness Collection will be accompanied with a complimentary beauty kit from The Estee Lauder Companies worth at least $100.
