The couple celebrated their big day with inspiration taken from Halloween!
“I initially felt lukewarm about the wedding prep, as weddings are usually sweet and romantic affairs. But when Gerald suggested that we could hold a huge Halloween party for our actual day, I got very excited about it as Halloween is my favourite special occasion," shares Biyi.
The chic Halloween-themed party was moody and glamorous, and guests sat down to a black table setting with accents of white, gold and red.
“Each of our guests received a goodie bag, and at the reception area, we prepared barrels of candies and chocolates for them to fill the bags with."

"Before we met with Harijanto Setiawan of Boenga Flowers & Designs, I only knew I wanted the colours to include blush and champagne, and that roses and hydrangeas had to be part of the flower arrangements.
Inspired by my ballet background and our love story, [Harijanto] suggested a whimsical fairy-tale concept, which I totally loved," shares actress Cheryl Wee.
The long-time lovebirds celebrated their banquet with much aplomb and decadence in this beauty of a ballroom set-up that included a functional stairwell!

Jolene and Jiahui brought part of the fictional world of the drama The Story of Yanxi Palace to life for their morning gatecrash, with the bride traveling by a traditional bridal sedan, and their bridal party in full period costumes.
"We always knew we wanted something fun and interesting for our wedding. One day, Jiahui casually suggested using a bridal sedan chair as our mode of transport, as opposed to a bridal car. This idea was placed on the back-burner until the drama, Story of Yanxi Palace came about," says Jolene.
To keep to their wedding budget, the couple sourced everything from Taobao and shipped over with the help of family and friends.

Guests at Janani and Shoban's wedding felt the magic of the Harry Potter universe with a celebration that was full of witty props (their ring holder was a golden Snitch made by the bride!), games and dancing in between.
"The aim was to have an evening that was relaxed, intimate and sophisticated, with the dining area set in the same way the Great Hall was in the books," says the couple.
A Snitch fondant and an actual train tunnel were some of the amazing details of their two-tiered semi-naked rustic red velvet cake with buttercream.

For their retro Shanghai and getai themed wedding, the couple employed the expertise of Singapore Tentage & Rental Service and transformed the hall at the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations into an unforgettable sight for their guests.
The decor included their reception area as seen.
"Guests were encouraged to come in traditional Chinese attire – or at least the fashion of the time," says Benjamin.

"For our wedding theme, we decided on an Alice In Wonderland theme for the banquet as we felt that the story – entering a new and unknown world with lots of unexpected scenarios and challenges – kind of reflected what married life would be like, shares Jessica, a former Miss Singapore and model.
“Yang Kang and I came up with the ideas, bought the decorations and brought them back to Singapore from Hong Kong, where we currently live.
My close friends and bridesmaids helped us set them up," she adds.

"Alvin's the geekier one," says Wei Ying, "but I grew to love Star Wars more because of him. In fact, it was clear from the start that at least one of our celebrations would have a Star Wars theme."
Sharing their love for all things Star Wars, Wei Ying and Alvin included props and decor pieces from the Star Wars empire into their wedding reception at The Halia.
Star Wars characters' figurines were displayed as part of the reception table decor for their banquet at Regent Singapore as well.
