Do you suffer from that perennial problem that even fashion ‘it’ girl Alexa Chung or a dedicated fashion writer like me isn’t entirely exempt from? I, too, have a wardrobe full of clothes, but I’m still stumped ever so often as to what to wear. And it’s not just me, the team here at herworldPLUS have all experienced those days too.

What I decided I needed, was a “Statement Jacket” as my go-to piece, for those indecisive days. It adds a polished touch to your outfit, especially on days when I have a work meeting and need to dress to impress.

I’m not talking about just a typical blazer either. Be it a lightweight sequined find, bomber jacket or a truly cosy tweed coat — if your office AC is as cold as mine is you just might need the extra warmth — these Statement Jackets are much better alternatives to humdrum office staples.

Another tip: If you’re planning on going out for cocktails after work, pair your outfit with one of these snazzy statement skirts to up your style metre.
