As we age, skin becomes dehydrated and dull with regular exposure to environmental stressors. To help restore skin radiance, you only need to follow these five skincare and makeup steps.
The first step to getting clear, radiant skin is to remove every speck of makeup before you go to bed at night. Not doing so causes clogged pores, breakouts, dryness and irritation.
And don’t forget to exfoliate once or twice a week, too. As you get older, the cell turnover rate slows down and dead skin cells tend to accumulate on the surface, making your complexion appear dull. Using a facial exfoliator helps regulate their removal.
You can also use a cleanser, like the soap-free 1028 Amino Acid Deep Facial Cleanser, $14.20 (80ml). It removes excess sebum and debris while keeping your skin soothed and hydrated.
Get glowing with a brightening serum like Idenel Whitening Ampoule, $62.90 (30ml).
This lightweight, plant-based product is said to inhibit melanin production with licorice extract, and lighten the appearance of dark spots with a mushroom extract. It also contains five other extracts to help keep the skin moisturised, soft and refined.

When you skip sunscreen, the skin cannot perform optimally as it is constantly being attacked by UV rays. So, no matter how good your serum or moisturiser is, you need a sunscreen to help protect your skin against cellular damage.

Getting clear, naturally radiant skin takes time. While you wait for your skincare to work its magic, you should use a makeup primer before your base.
Look for one with light-reflecting pigments like MKUP 5D Illuminating Primer, $31.80, which adds an instant glow. It should also smooth your skin, boost coverage and help your foundation to stay intact, while keeping your complexion luminous all day.

On top of primer, conceal any imperfections with foundation. Go for one with light to medium coverage, so your skin never looks cakey and dull.
Skin-brightening, antibacterial MKUP Flawless Perfect Glow (Oil Control), $39.50, protects against breakouts, while helping to control oil and minimise pores.
