Line characters plush dolls, from left to right: duck Sally, stoic bear Brown, bubbly but egotistical rabbit Cony and frog Leonard
Who can resist the adorable Line cartoon characters? We certainly can’t and if you feel the same, you can now head down to the Line pop-up store to get your fix of the uber cute cartoons.
From April 30 to May 22, popular chat application Line will be holding its first pop-up store in Singapore at Wisma Atrium. The store will offer an extensive range of genuine Line merchandise including Line dolls of various sizes priced from $14 to $50.
Larger-than-life Brown and Cony character mascots will be appearing at the store from 11am to 3pm on April 30, as well as every following Friday to Sunday for photo-taking opportunities. If that’s not enough incentive for you, the first 100 customers at the Pop-up Store on April 30 will get a mini Line doll worth $14 for free. There will also be in-store activities like a Roulette game where shoppers will stand to win Line merchandise. To participate, shoppers must have the Line application downloaded on their phone or have shared a picture of the pop-up store in their Line group chat.
Line Singapore will also be collaborating with retailer Uniqlo this May to produce a limited collection of 10 adorable UT (Uniqlo graphic T-Shirt) designs. Each UT purchase comes with a Line keychain and a sticker card, or a free download coupon for a paid Line sticker. Cony and Brown mascots will also appear at Uniqlo’s Jem and Bugis+ outlets on May 1, for a special photo-taking opportunity.
The chat application Line is known for its charming original cartoon characters whose collections of stickers are available to Line’s 400 million users. The characters have also inspired a number of animes, like Line Offline: Salaryman, as well as games.
