"Our after-party took place at The East Bureau. We pushed back the tables and chairs so our friends could get down and bust a move!

There were also a couple of impromptu dance and singing performances. Everything felt so silly and fun."

"We’re a pretty laid-back couple.

Our solemnisation took place three months earlier, and we went without the gatecrashing, so the day we actually celebrated our marriage was relaxed and fuss-free.

All we needed to do was head to our hotel suite to prepare for the tea ceremony and dinner."

"We wanted something different for our entrance.

Poh Lin started singing at the front of the stage and made his way to the ballroom entrance where I was waiting behind the doors. At the last verse, they opened and we walked in together."

"Instead of taking home favours, we made donations in our guests' names to Save Our Street Dogs Singapore."

"We kept certain crowd-pleasing traditional elements, like the yam seng toasts, but did away with the cake cutting ceremony, second march-in, childhood montage videos, and table photos.

Instead, we showcased personal messages from friends and mingled with guests. We felt we could share something about our personalities and love story, so everyone knew a little more about us."

"There was no hotel ballroom and no 10-course Chinese dinner. Also no table photos, outfit changes or second walk-ins.

We were set on celebrating the wedding with an after-party in one venue - and an open bar was key.

We've been to many dinners where everybody sat and waited for everyone else to decide where to go for the after-party, so we planned for everything to be out of the norm and had a fun night of drunken revelry and partying at 1-Altitude."

"We wanted a dressy, heart-warming dinner party with close friends and loved ones.

Instead of the wedding speeches and receiving line at the end of the dinner, we went from table to table for quality time with all our guests."

"We chose II Lido for our solemnisation and dinner reception as we both love Italian food and have fond memories of our holidays in Italy.

Everything was perfect - from the gorgeous views of the sunset and sea to the delicious food. Part of the fun came from keeping guests busy with activities.

There was a quiz (winners won vouchers), instant hair makeovers, a open bar and dancing."
