Well, you can trace the maison's spotlight on superstition all the way to Monsieur Christian Dior himself, who professed a lifelong belief in destiny and divination. Fun fact: You can thank his personal fortune teller Madame Delahaye for changing the course of fashion history, as she was instrumental in exhorting Monsieur Dior to take the plunge and accept a proposal to create his own couture house. As for the badges themselves, eachÂ exquisite enamel charmÂ (the entire 26-piece suite is slated to drop in late-May or June) hasÂ been painted by hand, with the designs taking a leaf from the singularly whimsical style of Jean Cocteau of Les Enfants Terribles and Orpheus fame.
