Sometimes you don’t need your handbag to say “I’m a serious businesswoman” or “I earn an enormous amount of money” or even “I’m quirky and fashion forward” … Sometimes you just want your handbag to say: “Let’s have some fun”.

Which is why Loewe’s Flamenco bags in a bright, candy colour – or combination of two colours in the colour-blocked version – is the perfect accessory.

Yes, the Flamenco is constructed from the brand’s signature, super-soft napa leather, and yes, the Flamenco boasts the same attention to detail and quality of make as all Loewe’s bags.

What makes it so much fun, apart from the bright colour ways, are the over-sized tassel pulls and the rounded, bulgy shape. It’s also perfectly practical – not too big; not too small – the Loewe Flamenco comes with four pockets, a detachable cross-body strap and is available in two sizes.

The Flamenco was originally launched in 1984; Loewe creative director Stuart Vevers rediscovered it in 2010 and decided to revamp it for the 2000s.

Available in bright shades like hot pink – “flame” and “fuchsia” – beetroot and apple green, the Flamenco pre-collection Autumn Winter 2011 range is the perfect addition to brightening up the darker colours of the season.

The Loewe Flamenco comes in two sizes and costs $2,690 for small version or $,3450 for the larger version; it’s available in Singapore in bright yellow, pink, purple and coral or a black and metallic gold version for those averse to bright colours. There are also two versions of the two-tone Flamenco bag available in Singapore; the green and blue and the light pink and fuschia versions. Loewe stores are located in Ngee Ann City, Takashimaya and DFS Galleria.
