The spunky singer is proof that it doesn't always have to be the guy popping the question. The pop star proposed during one of Hart's (he's a motocross racer) competitions while holding up a sign that read, "Will you marry me?" while on the sidelines. When Hart didn't stop on the first lap, she flipped the board, which read, "I'm serious." That got the racer to quit the race and kiss his now wife of 11 years.

The Chinese It couple had been dating for three years before Li proposed at Fan's 36th birthday party (against a gigantic wall of flowers!). A video of the occasion also showed Li Chen thanking the parents of his bride-to-be. His future mother-in-law then clasped his hand and told him, "You're my other son." When it comes to, we've got a thing or two to learn from him! 

Kim Kardashian & Kanye West

If there's anything Kanye West doesn't do, it's low-key. To get down on one bent knee to Kim, West booked the entire At&T Parl at the San Francisco Giants stadium on her 33rd birthday. Kanye's message flashed across the scoreboard, while they were serenaded by a 90-piece orchestra. The ring in question was a spectacular 15-carat sparkler.

A lavish hotel proposal (at the St. Regis Hotel in Princeville, no less) isn't quite a surprise when the couple are Hollywood stars. But it was Manganiello's ultra-sweet gesture that had our hearts melting. The American actor picked up enough Spanish to surprise and propose to the Colombian actress over Christmas, which included "Eres mi todo," which means "You are my everything." Excuse us while we swoon.

Christy Chung & Zhang Lunshuo

At a taping of the Hubei TV show, Perhaps Love, Zhang started with a song and dance performance with four backup dancers, while having Canadian actress Christy Chung sit on the stage. At the end of the performance, after the dancers left, he pulled out a ring and said: "We began on Perhaps Love (the pair had met on the reality dating show), so I think that at the end of the programme, we'll give everyone a better beginning and the whole world will see I'm responsible to you, as I said I'd be." The y got hitched later with a spectacular marine-themed celebration.
