This capsule collection pays tribute to the 1950s manga character, Astro Boy created by Osamu Tezuka.

The crime-fighting child character is now re-interpreted by Japanese designer Ohya-san to grace three styles of Bata Tennis shoes in the classic black-and-white combination.

Le-Tan says: “My favourite detail is the way the print looks like an embroidery. I love the magic of this effect. It mirrors the way my embroideries look on my classic book-clutches.”
