One of Singapore’s most successful artistic exports, Carrie K Artisan Jewellery is launching a fabulous “bling bling” version of its popular Reborn collection at regional trade show Blueprint from May 15-16, 2014.
The Reborn range features ordinary objects like safety-pins, razors, nails and needles recreated in precious metals, and now precious and semi-precious stones as well, with the establishment of the Carrie K Fine Jewellery collection.

“The Reborn Collection challenges traditional notions of beauty and preciousness with playful designs, including a new Nail ear cuff meaning women without pierced ears can now join in on the fun,” explains Carolyn Kan, found and designer of Carrie K. “The Needle series pays homage to the humble and hard working needle, an often necessary yet undervalued tool. The Needle series includes midi rings, regular sized rings, earrings and bracelets. All the new jewellery pieces are modern and worn to make a strong impact of punk edge or elegant cheekiness.”

The idea for creating fine jewellery versions of the brand’s popular pieces came about due to demand from Carrie K’s Japanese customers at its first overseas store at Shibuya Seibu department store in Tokyo. The Carrie K Fine Jewellery collection will be sold in Japan but selected pieces from the Safety Pin Bling collection will be showcased during the Blueprint trade show.
