There’s nothing better than an everyday purse which can pack all of your belongings in – and a good tote is just that. Heck, even this year’s NDP fun pack comes in a tote. Now take that familiar shopper design, pinch in its width, stretch its height, and shrink its size by almost half and you will end up with the mini vertical tote – the freshest bag style of the season.

Celine's BFF, aka Blackpink's Lisa, posted pictures of herself two weeks ago (Aug 6, to be exact) toting the French label's Mini Vertical Cabas, which measures in at a fun size of 17cm x 21cm x 4cm. But it’s not just Celine that's downsizing its signature tote. Over at Louis Vuitton, the Sac Plat tote has been shrunken too, as is the case with Dior’s best-selling Book tote.

Judging by the move by these three fashion marquees, we are not surprised if the coming months will see a trail of new mini vertical totes in the market. If the diminutive pico-sized bags are too extreme for your taste, then these options can still let you make a style statement with a mini-sized bag.

This polka-dotted number (it measures 20cm x 26cm x 10cm) hails from the Dioramour capsule collection and is a kooky design perfect for the weekend. It’s a true artisanal piece too: each polka dot is meticulously finished by hand and consumes one spool of thread to create.

3. Everyday XXS embossed leather tote, $1,490, Balenciaga

Contrary to its name, this mock croco design comes in at a size – 19cm x 22cm x 9.5 cm – that’s just right for your everyday essentials. The bag also comes with a zipped leather pouch and a detachable mirror inside.

4. Petit Sac Plat canvas and leather tote, $1,850, Louis Vuitton

A hot-ticket item among LV Stans, both this monogram canvas tote and its Epi leather version are already sold out on the LV e-commerce site (but get yourself notified when new stocks are in). It may be the smallest among the others featured here, measuring at just 14cm x 17cm x 5cm, but it still can cramp in your phone snugly (that’s about all we need today, right?).
