Peter Thomas Roth Potent-C Serum, $149 for 30ml

1/7

A powerhouse antioxidant that helps reduce skin inflammation, pigmentation, and boosts healthy collagen production, Vitamin C's often found in brightening skincare. One drawback: it's unstable and tends to lose its effectiveness quickly, especially if exposed to air or light.

To combat this, Peter Thomas Roth employs oil-soluble THD Ascorbate in his latest product - an extra-potent Vitamin C that is reportedly 50 times more powerful than traditional Vitamin C - which also offers high penetration rate. It's also less acidic compared to regular Vitamin C, which can irritate skin.

Vitamin C's effects are also reportedly more potent when combined with vitamin E or ferulic acid, with this formula offering just that.

Available at Sephora.
