Anna Sui and Kipling’s latest collaboration is edgy and made for the everyday woman

Though the namesake brand has been around since the ‘80s, the longtime New York designer is bringing her brand to new heights with her latest collaboration with everyday accessories brand, Kipling. However, this isn’t Anna’s first rodeo with the brand. In fact, previously, she worked on a collection last year that boasts her girly-meets-rock-n’-roll aesthetics.

But now, in a recent capsule collection with Kipling, she’s officially reviving her cool factor with her new project that injects her own rockstar style and signature rose print from her Fall 2022 ready-to-wear collection.

“The last collaboration was quite a success. I loved so many pieces from that collection and have used them especially in my travels. I was so thrilled to be asked to resume this collaboration.”

In an interview with Her World, Anna Sui shares that she was more focused on offering “bags that fit a woman’s lifestyle.” She also mentioned, “These range from a small pouch to a carry-on travel bag (my favourite). They are fashionable looking with Kipling’s functionality in a multi-sized selection that suites any lifestyle.”

The new collection with Kipling features the brand’s classics in a bold and retro flower print, complimenting key pieces. Synonymous with Anna’s style, she shares “the rose is my favourite flower and one of the Anna Sui design icons. It is repeated throughout my cosmetics, fragrances, and accessories.”

Throughout the range, you’ll also notice that the pieces arrive in a monochromatic palette that’s bold, yet wearable for everyday wear too.

“Personally, I love wearing Black And white. I think the bold Art Deco rose design is so graphic. It will blend so perfectly with any combination of black and white,” Anna tells Her World. “But it will also be a bold contrast against colours and other patterns.”
